Personal Hygiene & PPE
a) WASH & SANITISE YOUR HANDS
Ensure that you regularly wash and sanitise your hands before handling food, serving customers, and in between bathroom breaks.

b) USE SANITARY WEAR
Ensure that you are wearing hair nets, deli gloves, aprons, and other essential sanitary wear while working in a kitchen environment.
c) WEAR APPROPRIATE PPE
Always wear steel toe shoes, face masks, and other PPE where applicable.

a) CROSS CONTAMINATION
Implementing and adhering to the correct colour systems for food preparation, utensils, and cleaning equipment will prevent cross contamination which could otherwise have severe health and safety risks.

Ensure that all areas of your garage are correctly colour coded to ensure compliance & safety.
c) HACCP
Use the HACCP system to ensure all equipment is designated to the appropriate area to avoid safety risks including cross contamination.
Cleaning chemicals
MAXIDET
Maxidet is a premium detergent that is great for dishwashing and and general cleaning. It carries an SABS 1828 mark. It is pH neutral and is safe to use on almost every surface. Maxidet is high-foaming and great at cutting through grease.
SOLVDET
Solvdet is an intensive cleaner that removes oil, grease and fat. Solvdet carries the SABS SANS 1828 certification mark and is suitable for use in the food industry. It has a pH of between 12 & 14
CHLORGUARD
Chlor Guard is a SABS SANS 1853 certified multipurpose product that is used for cleaning, bleaching, and disinfecting of surfaces in kitchens and waste areas.
